FLAG DISPOSAL
Do you have worn out flag? Or has your flag been accidentally torn, burned, and damaged? Send it to us and we’ll give it a proper storage. Flags are to be respected, properly stored, and properly disposed of. The United States Flag code shows the etiquette to storing, handling, and treating flags, which all of us are entitled to follow.
The United States Flag code states that if the flag is no longer in good condition if it has a tear, worn out, damaged, or burnt, it should either be destroyed or disposed of in the most dignified manner. There is a science or law that states how to properly fold or dispose of a flag, especially if it is a national, city, or territory flag. When the flag can no longer be repaired, it should be disposed or stored in the proper way. Below are ways to properly dispose of flags.
- Fold in a traditional manner.
- Make sure that the fire is enough to completely burn the flag without any remnants of the fabric left. Put the folded flag on the fire.
- When you see that there is nothing left of the flag, kill the fire and bury the ashes.
