Here we offer the 27 legal flags flown throughout U.S. history in durable nylon material. By law, a star is added to the U.S. flag on July 4th following an admission of a state(s) to the union. Each flag shown is still a legal flag, never becomes obsolete and may be flown at anytime. Each flag features sewn stripes and appliqued (sewn) stars for authenticity and is offered in durable nylon material. 100% Made in the USA!

Our Nylon 3′ x 5′ Historical American Flags (ranging from 13 to 49 stars) are constructed of durable nylon with sewn stripes and embroidered stars for long-lasting color outdoors. Finished with a heavy-duty canvas heading, solid brass grommets, and four rows of reinforced stitching on the fly end, our flags withstand the most extreme weather conditions. Made in U.S.A.

Throughout the history of the United States, our flag has evolved through 27 designs as stars were added with the addition of states. Contrary to popular belief, the first official U.S. flag was not the Betsy Ross Flag (13 stars in a circle) but the staggered star pattern shown on the 13-star flag. It is important to note that no U.S. Flag ever becomes obsolete; each flag shown is still a legal flag and may be flown at any time.
