Flag Materials Guide
FLAG MATERIALS
Flag World Company weaves every flag with care. We choose the best fabrics and hold them to a high standard, so your flags and banners last. Our outdoor flags use top-quality materials, styles, and sizes that stand up to time, sun, and wind.
We make flags in many sizes and styles, in a range of fabrics, and all of them are made in the USA. Here are the main materials we use.
Nylon
Nylon is the most popular flag fabric. It shows bright, radiant colors and is light enough to fly in the gentlest breeze. We use a durable 200-denier nylon that holds up well outdoors.
Available for U.S. flags, world flags, state flags, military flags, historical flags, and some specialty or novelty flags.
Polyester
Polyester handles high winds well. Our polyester flags use a two-ply spun, open-weave fabric that resists fabric stress. It is long-lasting and a popular choice for flags meant to fly all year.
Available for U.S. flags, state flags, military flags, and some specialty or novelty flags.
Cotton
Cotton is best for indoor flags. The fabric has a rich, smooth finish. We offer it for the U.S. flag.
Rayon
Rayon is a silk-like fabric we use mainly on stick and desktop flags.
Available for our miniature stick and desktop flags, including 4β³ x 6β³ world flags, state flags, military flags, historical flags, some sports flags, and all specialty or novelty flags.
Please note: not every flag is available in every material. Browse the product categories to see the materials offered for the flag you want. Have a question? Call us at 303-623-0589 (MonβSat, 8:30 a.m.β6:00 p.m. MST), or email info@flagworldinc.com.
